If I wasn't broke when I had the samples I'd have bought a jar because I could easily see it becoming my HG. It's for older people who have wrinkles and holy shit is it a heavy duty moisturizer. It does leave a slightly greasy looking finish until it totally absorbs but it's a great dose of moisture for dry types and sinks in relatively quickly.Īnother cream I really loved when I sampled it, should price not be too important for you, is the It's Skin Prestige Syn-Ake Agetox cream. Other creams that have worked well with my dry skin have been Mizon's Returning Starfish cream! I use it after the All in One and it's very hydrating with only a little bit of product. In all honesty I don't think most snail creams are very hydrating for dry skin for some reason.Īlso, FWIW my skin is dry in the sense that even Missha's Signature Perfect BB Cream AKA the one that a lot of people find so dewy it looks like oil on their face, can go on flaky if I haven't hydrated properly before using it. When my All in One runs out I'll likely be buying the Missha to replace it. Overall it just seemed like the better product. If I had to choose between the Missha and Mizon, I'd choose the Missha without contest. It absorbed pretty quickly, and didn't seem to disappear throughout the day. It had a more refreshing feel too and a pleasant scent. It wasn't super hydrating, but it was definitely much better at it than the Mizon snail cream. I've sampled the Missha Super Aqua Cell Renew snail cream pretty recently and liked it a good deal. It's wonderful as a treatment though, and nice on my nose and cheeks where my skin is a bit oily sometimes. I mean you could get it to be moisturizing, but you'd be using so much product to do that it'd be very wasteful. I have crazy dry skin and had to buy a second cream in order to get moisture into my face. Mizon's Snail Cream is definitely not what you're looking for. The replacement is the MISA Guemsul 24k Snail line, which is even harder to find. I did place an order for the Missha 24k PRIME GOLD Snail Cream on HonestSkin recently because my aunt uses and LOVES it (also 50% off), but it's pretty hard to find as it is now a discontinued line apparently. It also comes in a jar, if that is something that bothers you. I see some retailers have put a HUGE markup on the Black Snail version ($58, whaaaa), but some sellers (like eopenmarket and RRS) have it a much more reasonable price (<$15). The downside is that is more expensive that the regular cream. Alone, it is still not moisturizing enough for me, but it is an essential part of my skin care so far. I'm currently battling a breakout (that I believe was caused by a shampoo) and using a retinoid and I feel that this cream has provided a lot of moisture and skin healing benefits in the one (!) week I've used it so far. I got this version because it looked like an upgraded version of the regular cream with a better ingredient list and I truly believe it is a better product. I'm currently using the Black Snail version of cream (with a separate spatula!) and find that it is much more moisturizing that the regular cream. I dumped my remaining cream last month because it was well over a year old and I admit I have been dipping my fingers into it instead of using a spatula. My skin was good/nice while using it, but I don't know if I can attribute it to the cream, some other product, or my entire regime. I thought it was a cream/treatment that worked pretty well, but honestly, I started using it long before I knew about this sub or really go into skincare, so I can't tell you how well it worked for me. The regular all in one is not going to be moisturizing enough unless you have other hydrating products in your regime. For reference, I have dry skin, that is now even drier thanks to starting a retinol. I just about finished my jar of the regular all in one cream last month and just started using the black snail version of the cream. I haven't tried the Missha one, but I have tried the Mizon All In One repair cream and the Mizon BLACK All in One repair cream.
